Desgination: Recruitment of Project Assistant

Job Description:

NBRC who is currently coordinating for the DeLCON would like to recruit suitable persons for the following positions:

Post Code: DP01 Project Assistant (DeLCON Consortia Project)
Emoluments :- Rs. 13,500 to Rs. 15,000 pm (Consolidated) depending on suitability
Essential Qualification/Experience:- Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university and post graduate in library science
Desirable qualification:- Management knowledge of library, ability to correspondence, report preparation, website development, knowledge of application utilities like MS word, Excel, Power point and other applications etc.

Essential Qualification/Experience:- Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university and One year degree or diploma in computer applications / or post graduate in library science
Desirable qualification:- Management knowledge of Website hosting & updation, ability to self correspondence, report preparation, knowledge of application utilities like Linux, SQL, ASP.NET, Java, DBMS, MS Access, C++, Apache, Visual Basic, Macromedia, Flash, Dreamweaver and other web based applications etc.

Company Profile:

National Brain Research Centre has been established by the Department of Biotechnology as a national apex centre for brain research, to consolidate, network, and undertake basic research of high caliber in neuroscience and establish linkages with national/international organisations involved in neuroscience research. Thus, NBRC would not only have infrastructural facilities and a coordinated multidisciplinary team of scientists working at the frontier of neuroscience (intramural), but also to support and network the existing groups in the country (extramural). NBRC would function as a comprehensive brain research institute, which has been envisaged as a novel institute of its kind in having both intramural and extramural responsibilities.

Research at NBRC would be carried out through a multidisciplinary approach by bringing together scientists working in different disciplines into the main stream of neuroscience. The highly complex problems in neuroscience needs to be addressed by a unified, highly integrated multidisciplinary team of scientists from varying backgrounds working together to pursue the objectives that are beyond the capacities of an individual investigator. NBRC would focus primarily on those areas of neuroscience, which have so far not been adequately addressed, including the emerging interdisciplinary ones.

The main campus of NBRC is to be located at Manesar, Gurgoan District (40 km from Delhi) on 40 acres of land. Currently NBRC is functioning from its interim laboratories.
